Fresh 48 Sessions at Mater Mothers Hospital
I photograph Fresh 48 sessions at both Mater Mothers Public Hospital and Mater Mothers Private Hospital in South Brisbane.
Once your baby arrives, you simply send me a message and we plan a time for me to visit while you are still in hospital. Sessions usually take place during the day when the room has the best light- and during their set visiting hours.
The session is relaxed and respectful of your recovery. If you need a little more time after birth, we wait. If baby needs feeding or settling, we pause.
There is no pressure to look or feel “ready”. These photographs are about this season exactly as it is.
What a Mater Fresh 48 Session Looks Like
A typical Fresh 48 session lasts around 60 minutes, but this can vary depending on you and your bub.
During that time I photograph small moments as they unfold:

When to Book Your Mater Fresh 48 Photographer
Fresh 48 sessions are best booked during pregnancy so I can reserve space around your due date.
I only take a small number of hospital sessions each month to remain flexible when babies decide to arrive early or late.
Once your baby is born, you simply send a message from hospital and we schedule the session within the first day or two.
That said, if baby is already earth-side, please reach out and I can see what I can do.
Combining a Fresh 48 and Newborn Session
Many families choose to combine a Fresh 48 session at the Mater with a relaxed in home newborn session a week or two later with the First Weeks Collection.
The two sessions tell the full story.
The hospital photographs capture the very beginning.
The newborn session captures the first days at home once your family has settled.
By reserving a Fresh 48 session and a Lifestyle Newborn session together, you receive a reduced session fee of $100 on your newborn session, as a thank you for trusting me to document your family’s story from the very beginning

Together they create a collection of images that follow the start of your baby’s life and make the worlds best baby album.
